Out Of This World Activities

out of this world preschool activities

Ms. Becky and Ms. Kayla really rock our World! They had the best few weeks teaching their kiddos all about space.

Here are just a few of the activities that they did with their Pre-K students that you can easily do at home!

First up we have Name Rockets! They had each student write out the letters in their name on squares and then they stacked the letters to build a rocket that spelled their name in order!

Our Pre-K class also got to learn about the moon phases with this fun Oreo activity! They had to make each cookie look like a different moon phase!

These next two activities were both messy and fun (making the mess is really part of the fun)! Our students made their own galaxies with wax paper, paint, and glitter. They especially liked watching the wax paper unfold to show the two identical sides of the galaxy! In the second activity they made their own earth out of puffy paint and plates. Our teachers make the puffy paint by mixing glue, shaving cream, and paint and it is always a hit in our classrooms!

Lastly, Ms. Becky and Ms. Kayla went all out in this space theme by making a quiet area and a word wall that were both space themed! The quiet area says, “I Need My Space“! The word wall has the sight words that they have been learning while they have been exploring space these last few weeks!

Our teachers love putting themes together based on what their students are interested in and Ms. Becky and Ms. Kayla really knocked this theme out of the park! Their activities and themed classroom was truly out of this world!
