Our students and teachers have celebrated Earth Day here at Yellow Brick Road all week!
We spent this week teaching our kiddos what it means to love and care for our planet!
Here are some of the earth-focused projects that our students got to play and learn through this week:
In Plymouth our Pre-K class made their own Earth and learned a fun song about loving our Earth! These activities encouraged individual creativity, confidence, and fine-motor-skills!

In Minnetonka our whole school came together and planted a tree in front of our school so that our students can watch it grow over time! They all took turns watering it to learn how to care for our Earth!
You can watch the video of them planting their tree by following the link below, or going to our Facebook page and watching the Facebook Live!
In Maple Grove our Pre-K class made an earth of our notes about why they love our earth! Each student had the chance to highlight something they appreciated about our planet and then they got to make their own out of shaving cream and food coloring!

In Eden Prairie our Pre-K class made their own bird feeders out of recycled materials! They have been able to enjoy watching the bird visit the bird feeders all week through their classroom window and while they are outside!

We have had a great week of learning about and appreciating our earth!
