This was a big week at Yellow Brick Road… Not only did we celebrate being one of the best preschools for SEVENTEEN years, but we also celebrated having the best COO since day one! Ms. Kylie Schrader, our COO, has been with us since the very beginning in 2006. Yellow Brick Road started out in Plymouth Minnesota, and we have since grown over three states serving amazing families in all of our communities.
From day one at Yellow Brick Road Kylie has had a passion for putting out the best Early Childhood Curriculum in our communities to prepare all of the students at Yellow Brick Road for a bright future. She started our designing the curriculum and the program itself in 2006 and from there she has grown with our schools. From being a teacher in the classroom, to the Curriculum Director, to the Director in our very first center!! Kylie has played all of the parts at Yellow Brick Road and there is no hidden irony in the fact that our current mission of ‘putting good humans into the world and leaving it better than we found it’, has been lived out by Kylie over the last seventeen years.
After establishing a successful program in Plymouth Minnesota, Kylie helped the company grow all over the west metro in Minnesota as our Regional Director. She oversaw our four schools at the time ensuring our teachers knew how to implement the curriculum she had always been so passionate about. Her passion continued to drive the success and growth of both our schools and our teachers. Kylie put her heart into developing strong teachers by ensuring they had the right training, resources, and most importantly, confidence!
From the Regional Director role, Kylie moved into our Director of Operations role as we grew into her home state of Nebraska!! She began training other Regional Directors so that they could support and train their Directors and teachers the same way she had for so long. She continues these same efforts, ensuring we accomplish our mission, in her current role as our Chief Operations Officer!
Kylie has put seventeen years into building Yellow Brick Road into who we are now. In all of our schools in Minnesota, Nebraska, and Iowa; Kylie is respected and appreciated for all that she does! Although she is not in the teaching role she was in initially, she has never stopped teaching each of us how to live out the Yellow Brick Road mission in all of our roles every single day!!
