What a YEAR we’ve had! Yellow Brick Road has had its best year yet, and we couldn’t be more thrilled that you were along the ride with us! This is, after all, YOUR YBR!
As we look at the past twelve months, we’ve added twelve new sites, jobs for our communities, education and enrichment for our kiddos, and SO many new fun relationships within our schools!
Minnesota Review: Our flagship school has maintained its community foundation, and because of their success, we’ve been able to add a location only two blocks away on Fernbrook Lane! We’ll be able to service almost a hundred new families in a space that is completely renovated and supplied with a Director who loves this area so much! Fernbrook officially opens its doors on January 4th, 2023, and those who’ve added themselves to the “Founding Families” group are some of the nicest humans we’ve met! Maple Grove, directed by Ms. Becky, is still in full swing with more kiddos than we’ve ever seen, and she still amazes us with her creativity and FUN personality! Eden Prairie, MN has gone through the most changes this year, and while we’ve had an interim director for a bit, we truly believe Ms. Chelsea is the perfect fit for our team! She came with so many years of service within our organization, and she’s a huge loss for Ms. Angie in Minnetonka, but she is already blossoming in this new role. Speaking of Minnetonka (Hopkins)… Our wonderful Director has grown her school consistently and while the four year plan of construction for the light rail is still in full swing, it hasn’t de-railed her and her staff’s POSITIVITY! Nebraska Review: Omaha-Metro has also been on the grow! Our CEO & COO’s home area acquired a new school just outside of Omaha proper giving them a chance to serve even more families! It came with a staff who stayed through ALL the changes and a director who has impressed all of us! Between Omaha, Bennington, and Harrison, these schools and their regional director, Ms. Erin, have been so INNOVATIVE in their combination of curriculum added and adjusting as baby YBR brands! These schools are actively involved in local groups and charities which allows so much NURTURING to be done within their community relationships. The Ribbon Cutting and other family events were the largest we’ve had thus far. Locations in: Omaha, Bennington, Millard
Iowa Review: This state is beyooooooooond impressive! Adding four locations in June and SIX more in October, these schools are just a whole new ballgame. Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Jamie come to us with so much experience, it was obvious they were the perfect gals to complete our Regional Directors team. They have so much COMMUNICATION and positive relationships within their organizations and have filled in with any capacity they’ve needed. Our HR team, Leadership Staff, Teaching and Support Staff have jumped in with the YBR wand and overhauled their schools to emulate the best possible environment we could ask for! From making “grandfriends” to having car washes, this team has COLLABORATION written all over them for their community efforts. It has been so fun to watch our group grow this year. Its even more fun to be in the buildings and get to meet the families and teachers. Starting with YBR in 2006, I’ve been a part of every expansion and see every change. I love that I get to do this every day, and I wouldn’t change it.
